Today, 26 July 2010, Acer officially announced new product, Acer Stream smartphone.  This new device clearly will help Acer to get a strong position in the mobile phone market.  Mentioning just some brief specifications of Acer Stream, the device has a 3.7 inch Amoled screen, 1 GHz processor, Bluetooth 3.0, a five megapixel camera and an 11.2 mm thickness. Apple, on July 2,published a press release to new iPhone 4 users about the famous reception problem when gripping the phone in the left hand.  Apparently, the problem is not a faulty design of Apple.  It seems that Apple had a faulty formula that showed the reception higher than it really is and this causes a high amount of loss in reception when the phone is handled tight in hand.  Please read the letter from Apple for further details;

A new solar cell that converts sunlight to energy has been launched in variety of consumer products. The technology used in this is a photosensitive dye to start its energy production which is same as the leaves using chlorophyll to begin photosynthesis. This dye sensitive cell can be used to give power to various devices like e-book readers, cell phone etc. The cell can be found in thin, flexible panels stitched to the reader’s cover in the e-book readers. These panels can be placed in new lines of backpacks and sports bags which will help recharge cell phones and music players.

Apple has found a new way of taking revenge from Google as they have banned the word “Android” from their application store. This incident happened with a developer when his application gets rejected because he has “Android” word in the description of the application. Condition was made that if he drops the word from description the app will be allowed. The approval process of Apple is a tough one which leaves developers in dilemma as to why their apps were rejected. They received a notice from Apple’s app approval department stating that when they reviewed the product they found the application having inappropriate or irrelevant platform information in the application description. Mozilla launched its first Firefox browsers for mobile phone users for Nokia’s Maemo. The Firefox for Maemo 5 platform has many interesting features that make it different from other mobile browsers like opera mini. You can get Mozilla Firefox in two of Nokia’s device –N900 and N810. The Firefox is supported on Nokia’s open source based on Linux Maemo operating system. This will enable users to know and work on their mobile phone like they used to on their desktop. The Chrome browser was updated to version 5 for Windows and Mac. There aren’t many changes in the Google Chrome version 5 than the version 4.

In Google Chrome 5 you can use the default download directories in Vista and Windows 7 unlike the earlier version. In the options you can find content settings dialog added. You can find settings on how to deal with cookies, images, JavaScript, Plugins, and pop-ups.
