Google has become a part of our daily internet lives. For all the internet searches we use Google search engine and why shouldn’t we, it gives us accurate, simple search results and without spams.

Today i would share some interesting searching tips with you guys. So here goes:

Google gives you power to search any specific thing from a site u want, lets suppose that u want to download winamp, a famous audio player, from download.com. You would go to google.com and write in the search:
site:www.download.com winamp
And now you will get all the links of winamp from download.com.

Google search doesnot only indexes pages but it also provide an easy acess to document, multimedia or any format you want to search. Lets suppose that you want a pdf file named document, you would write:
filetype:PDF document
This will restrict your search queries to search only those files on the internet with .pdf extensions.

I found this really interesting. Google actually helps you convert any units like currency, mass, length, volume and others. Now you dont need to download any specific software for conversion or visit any site. Now you want to convert centimeter into meters you can open Google and write:
1 cm in m

Heyy ppl… Srry for posting after a long period, i was busy with adding some new things to the site and making sure the host is working good, anyways lets get on to the topic.

Mostly everyone has a account on Orkut and it is the most largest social network(that i know) which was created back in 2004. Facebook on the other hand was created in 1997 but i still it has a little less traffic than Orkut do.

I myself was a member of Orkut since January 2005 but i lately deleted my profile. Maybe one of the main reasons were that Orkut does not have enough privacy compared to Facebook and as i have used Orkut for 2 years, Orkut got boring. Also Orkut has tooo much spamming as members created their profile and never logged in again or used their profile for advertising.

Orkut gives its user simple and easy use to its functions. Although there is not much to do in orkut but there you can find most your friends(i did), scrap them for casual discussions and join communities.

Facebook is a bit difficult to get your hands on but when you understand it, i think its the best social network. On Facebook you can add modification to your accounts like moods plugin (you can update how are you feeling today), you can send gift to your friends( Facebook charges $1 for a gift but there is a free gift add on too) and the best part is, you have total privacy over your profile like you can make a limited profile for the person you want to avoid or spy on you =p.

So for the what ever reason i think Facebook is a better social network compared to Orkut.

Well, i found out this really really funny and unbelievable technique to recover your Dead(Unreadable) CDs. Most of you guys would not stop laughing after reading this.

Well the technique is to “boil” your CDs, to make them live again! :D do you believe it? I didn’t believed this too until i tried it on one of my CD and it really work :D, now believe that! :D

This also applies to DVD’s too, most of the time water molecule get trapped in the plastic covering which is meant to protect to the readable surface and sometimes it freezes to form a layer and those CD’s become unreadable and the only way to make them work is to boil them…

Now keep in mind that you are not to make a soup of CD! you just need enough water to cover the disk and place the water ball (WITHOUT THE DISK) into the microwave for 60 seconds. AND if you put you put a disk in the microwave, you will see a free fireworks display with over cooked disk! so DONT!

- Click “Settings” on the top of the page.
- Then select the “Account” tab and then click “Add another email address” in the “Send mail as:” section.

Better, lighter and faster laptops are coming into the market everyday, not everyday but still =p. Although batteries are progressing but still they still give laptop users a pain in the neck. There are many laptops and notebooks which comes equipped with helping users to increase the battery life but the very latest windows like Vista has no such kind of better battery management so it is up to the user now how he manages his battery life.

Here are some tips on how to increase your laptop battery life.

Defragmenting your hard disk on regular basis really helps you a lot, now your processor wont use up more battery searching the whole hard disk for a file when it will be available at more reachable place. I know that defragmenting a hard disk takes a lot of time; you can either put your laptop to direct power or decrease the brightness of the screen. Also many laptops comes with a screen black out feature, so that can also be handy in defrag your hard disk.

Open your task manager (by ctrl + alt + del) and you would find many unnecessary programs running in background. All those useless background and foreground (useless programs running on taskbar) use up most of your battery, try closing all of them so the battery consumption would be limited.

Still cant believe the title? Can’t believe you can get awesome audio quality, which surpasses even dedicated amplifiers ten times as expensive? Yes its true! Silverstone launched its USB powered Audio Amplifier.

You must be wondering what is the connection between Silverstone, PSU producer (integrator) and Audio Amplifier, oh well who really cares if they have produced a marvel =d.

This Amplifier consists of a small board, which fits inside your PC and is being fueled by a 4-pin floppy disk power adapter from the main board. The sound is being transmitted directly to the USB headers of the board so there is no digital to analog conversion until the signal reaches the amplifier. It is rated 35W of output power per channel =o. SNR is rated at 105dB directly from the amplifier, which is pretty awesome compared to other more expensive amplifiers. However on their release Silverstone did not gave any additional information regarding THD, Noise and Intermodulation. Silverstone has announced that MSRP for this card comes with a price tag of $50, which I think is pretty reasonable.

Gravity Blue would rate this awesome USB powered Audio Amplified 9/10!
