There are loads of mp3 players out there, giving so many features but Audiovox at last has thought about the people who cannot afford $100 mp3 players and has launched MP6610FM Mp3 player. This Mp3 player comes with a tag of $20 only and carries numerous functions. It also offers a decent memory of 256MB, which is quite enough for 35 – 40 songs. It is also available in 1GB too.
This Audiovox item is not very smart. Although it can deal with Mp3 and Wma formats like any other expensive player but the this Mp3 player does not comes with a good battery and can only last for couple of hours which is really big turn off. It also supports ID3 tag data on the display, which is capable of displaying useful information regarding the artist, album and track. It also tells you how much hrs/mints of playback time can perform.
Although it cannot be compared to other Mp3 players like Ipod but still this Audiovox player comes with a cool OLED display. It also comes with a 2 interchangeable cover in two colors; pink and blue. I think it would be great for the people who love to jog on their favorite music.
This player is easily plug n play for the most of the operating systems including Windows 98SE / ME / 2000 and XP, I wasn’t able to find if the player works on Vista and on Red Hat Linux.
Anyways I would rate it 7/10 for its affordability, easy access and easy to upgrade to 1 or 2 GB.
