Speed up your Adobe Reader
Wednesday, June 25, 2008 12:21Its always so frustrating watching your Adobe Reader executing plugins every time you try to open a .pdf file. It is…! And that the reason i always try avoiding any .pdf files cause i know it would take 2 years to read a single page document!
Well for all of you guys i am posting a really simple and 2 mint tutorial by which you can make your Acrobat Reader load very fast.

Follow the 4 easy steps:
For Adobe Reader 7.0
- First install the latest version of Adobe Acrobat - you can get it here.
- Then install the Adobe Reader you have just downloaded and browse to the plugins folder (Its the default directory, you may follow the link according to your drive and folder selection): C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\plug_ins
- Create a new folder named Optional
- Move all files from the plug_ins folder to Optional, except EWH32.api, print*.api, and Search*.api
And Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional:
- Browse to the plugins folder (Its the default directory, you may follow the link according to your drive and folder selection): C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Acrobat\plug_ins
- Create a new folder named Optional
- Move all files from the plug_ins folder to Optional, except EWH32.api and Search*.api
And you are done! This will bypass all the loading of plugins which takes soo much time at start up!
