Google Chrome: Web Browser from Google
Yesterday, on 2nd September, Google rolled out its web browser, Google Chrome. Google introduced this browser as an experimental candidate and you too can give it a try.
After I downloaded the Chrome Google, I noticed some interesting stuff they introduced to this browser.
- First was an amazing interface Google Chrome offered. A really simple and elegant blue touch to the browser. Next thing was the suggestion tool I really loved; it suggests you search key words and web pages.
- The browsing speed was amazing too… really “lightning” as they mentioned in the description. They have designed an improved Javascript which is yet is planned for the new firefox. This new V8 Javascript engine, makes the javascripts processing really fast, especially for the Gmail like scripts, it opens at an amazing speed.

- Google Chrome also offers a task manager which tells you which site is utilizing the most memory.
- Also, when you open a new tab, Google Chrome displays a list of most recent sites you have visited. Another amazing thing I noticed was, when you maximize Google Chrome, the title bar disappears, giving more space to the site content to appear, which is awesome.
- You can also create desktop shortcuts for your favorite websites. Another interesting feature this browser offers is that you can browse multiple sites in one window…
- The security features are amazing too, Google Chrome periodically downloads a blacklist for malware and phishing sites, which is pretty impressive. Another security feature does not allow the self installation of tabs, which helps protecting from malwares.
For all the awesome stuff that Google Chrome has to offer, it is tough for me to suggest all of you guys out there to move to Google Chrome from Firefox… I guess we all to wait as more reviews come in and I will probably write about what better stuff Google Chrome has to offer, until then… I would stick to my Firefox. You can also check out the features page for Google Chrome.
And and… one last bit I would like to add, Google Chrome is available for Windows users as yet so all those Linux and Mac OS users will have to wait – abit and for the plugins you wish to add-on, there is not much offered as yet…
