Alright people, yesterday was the long waited 9th September on which Apple promised all the new stuff. Yesterday, at the Apple’s Lets Rock Event, Apple rolled out the iTunes 8, iPod Nano 4G (all the rumored images proved to be correct), iPod Touch 2G. Awesome.

Lets begin with the latest iTunes 8. The latest media management and playback software by Apple, features the latest recommendation engine, new visualizers, the latest grid view, and new terms & conditions.

The recommendation engine works amazing when you select a song in iTunes and it displayes a list of recommendations related to the song you have selected, i really loved the feature.

When you use this feature, you have to agree to the terms & conditions and then it will gather the songs information to your iTunes library. All the processing time depends on the song library you have on your computer and the computer you are using. Then, it will send the information to Apple and will build you a profile based on the likes and dislikes, which will the enable you to use the amazing recommendation feature in the sidebar of your iTunes.

Genius playlist works amazing when you select a song in the iTunes Store, it shows up a related list of music which you may like. It really works great when you want a playlist for a particular genre.

Also, the new feature i discovered was the 30 second preview you can get of a song in the iTunes Store.

When i Syned my iPod with the iTunes 8, it was way faster than the previous versions. Like if my iPod took around 5 minutes to Sync with the previous versions, this time around, Syncing was finished in 2 minutes, thats fast.

To better organize your music, iTunes 8 also features the new grid view which show album artwork, you can alter the size of the album cover and sort your music by album, artist, genre or composer.

Also, the new visualizer were awesome too, each time you change the song, the colour and style changes, plus amazing three dimensional animations of glowing orbs were also included, i have checked out all the visualizations.

I am not yet sure of the Blu-ray support feature which was rumored, do give a shout in the comments if you can confirm it.

To sum up everything, iTunes 8 is really cool, the visualization and recommendation features sure made the iTunes 8 download a worth while one.

Now, Switching to the iPod 4G. To all those post you must of noticed all around the internet of leaked images of iPod 4G have been proven correct. I think “think” this is something to do with the new marketing technique has been experimenting with…

Apple named the iPod 4G as Nano Chromatic, i dont know if there is some relation between the Google Chrome browser and the iPod. Check out the screen shot below:

The latest iPod Nano Chromatic comes with the roll over feature, that is, when you rotate your iPod nano, you can view the album art, movies and TV shows in widescreen view. Thats really impressive of using the wide screen.

A new feature, called Genius, find songs from your iPod nano and creates a playlist for you. Also, Apple introduces a new way to shuffle songs on your iPod Nano by simple shaking the iPod Nano.

iPod Nano-Chromatic is available in 8 GB and 16 GB to begin with, and comes with a price tag of $149.00 and $199 (ouch) respectively. Check out the screenshot above for all the colour available to choose from.

iPod Touch 2G, also made the Lets Rock Event, which comes with a chrome rim and a bit similar to the iPhone. It is also thinner than the previous version. Also it comes equiped with the much expected built in speaker.

iPod Touch 2G comes with a bit of modification like the volume button are built in the left side, also the built in wireless support comes with Nike + iPod Touch. Battery life is improved too with 36 hours of audio playback and 6 hours of video playback. Impressive.

iPod touch is available in 8GB for $229, 16 GB for $299, and 32 GB for $399.
