Get The Windows 7 Like Notepad
Sunday, September 28, 2008 11:33I earlier posted some Windows 7 M3 Screenshots, in which, MS Paint, Wordpad, and My Computer Interface got a re make with better graphics. In the same screenshots was the new notepad which will be coming with Windows 7 but now, you don’t have to wait any longer for it as I found an awesome plugin at deviant art with which you can easily get the Windows 7 Notepad at your Windows XP or Windows Vista.
This is something how the notepad looked like when I installed it.
This is a Windows 7 inspired Ribbon UI Notepad. Yeah, i want to beat Microsoft to the punch.
After having seen screen shots for the Windows 7 build of Paint, i got Inspired. Anyway, Itss done in C#.net and VB.net. Seeing as how this is one of my first C# apps, a notepad type editor is a good beginning app.
Anyway, It has only Notepad type functionality now, i would like to get it up to WordPad (advanced txt and rtf) functionality soon.
YES, it uses up RAM, because of how it does MDI and such, I am working on making the requirements much less.
I would really recommend you guys on getting this application, it’s a sure must try and if you get any problem when using this notepad, get the Microsoft .NET Framwork 3.5
The application is portable i.e. you wont need to install it at all, you just need to unzip the file and run the EXE file to use the note pad.
