Gmail has been my favorite Emaling service and today i found out these awesome feature to do with Gmail. These are really simple but are very useful.

1. Play Music on Gmail

This was something new to me. I had never noticed the Gmail player if you recieve an mp3 file. Click the play button, and the song or the mp3 file will play through the flash player without downloading it.

2. Store Files on Gmail

This is my personal favorite. With a small application you can store files on your Gmail files and use the 6GB storage space of your inbox to a good use. Check out here. Also try backing up files to Gmail.

3. Play Snakey on Gmail

You may not find this feature really useful but it is really fun when you are bored and dont have anything to do. With Gmail you can play a bit silly but fun game called Old Snakey. To play this game, you need to enable it from settings > labs and set the Old Snakey button to enabled. Now return to your inbox and hit the ‘&’ key on your keyboard to start playing the game

Bonus feature: Convert Files With Gmail

This might be known tip for everyone but still included it in the post for those who dont know, it is really simple but really really helpful.Whenever you recieve an attachment, you must have seen two options, i.e. to dowload and view as HTML, well, this second option can be used as your files converting tool. With this, you can covert pdf, doc, ppt, rtf, pdf file or maybe the latest Office 2007 files like docx, pptx files with Gmail. To do that, simple send yourself the email with the file attachted you want to convert. Open the email you sent to yourself and click view as HTML.
