As much as I love USB devices to carry around my data, I equally find them irritating as each time I connect my USB to other computers, I usually find them full of virus and at times those virus become quite a pain when anti virus fails to clean them.
NetWrix has come up with an ingenious tool with which you can block USB which are full of spyware or viruses and steals your personal data. They would usually transfer your personal data like your static IP, which can later be used to access your PC anywhere from the world and steal your personal data like your passwords, bank statements or any other details you might have on your PC.
With NetWrix USB blocker, you can lockdown USB ports remotely across the network to prevent them from unauthorized access. You use this freeware to disconnect USB devices like iPods, flash drives, memory sticks, SD cards remotely on the network. You can do that on the client PCs on the network, locally or remotely via the windows Group Policy Mechanism.
To block the port(s) on a particular PC, you will have to enter the domain as workgroup (or your name of the network) and then later block the USB ports on a local computer.
