Facebook has to be my favorite social network and today, Joe from Facebook developers posted a note at facebook to tell us about the new facebook application for iPhone 3.0.

Although the exact date of the release is not mentioned on the note but it says that 98% of the development is complete on the facebook application and will be out very soon.

Facebook application did not see much changes on the last apart from the language enhancements but now an impressive list of improvements are mentioned on the new coming facebook application.

New Features:

- New News Feed is promised much like the online version.
- Like
- Events are added and the ability to RSVP
- Notes
- Pages
- Creating a new photo album.
- Uploading photos to albums.
- Zoom into photos.
- Photo tagging made easier
- Profile Pictures album.
- A new home page for easy access, like search, notification and all your stuff.
- Add favorite pages or profiles to the home screen.
- Better Notifications, and reply can be made easily.
- Easy call or text people from the Friends page.
- Messages if interrupted by a call can be restored.

Although the new news feed promises an improvement but it is still not sure if it will be the same as the web version.

Push Notifications will not available on this version and is expected later this summer on 3.1 version.
