VLC media player has to be my favorite video player. I used Windows Media Player earlier but whenever i tried playing a video i received from a friend with a different codec it would display the annoying message of playback failure.

With VLC media player you dont need to install any external codec to play video. VLC supports almost any sort of media formats that you can even imagine.

Now the VLC media player portable version comes really handy when you have to visit somebody’s place and you need to play a video there and you don’t find the right codec on the computer to play the video and that’s where the VLC media player portable comes handy!

You can carry this simple application as a single icon anywhere on your USB drive and double click it to use it anywhere without installation and it works just like the actual version!
