Get 90-days Windows 7 Trial
Earlier Microsoft announced to give out 90-days of Windows 7 Enterprise and now you too can get a copy of Windows 7 to get an experience of the latest upcoming Windows.
To get your 90-days windows 7 trial you need to visit the TechNet Evaluation Center and select which version of Windows you want to download, 32-bit version or the 64-bit version. 32-bit version is recommended for PCs with normal specifications required and does not enhanced features. To experience full featured Windows 7, you can download the 64-bit edition which can be a little heavy on your PC.
Following are the basic requirements for Windows 7:
- 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
- 1 GB of RAM (32-bit) / 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
- 16 GB available disk space (32-bit) / 20 GB (64-bit)
- DirectX 9 graphics processor with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
- DVD-compatible drive
Windows 7 is currently available in 5 languages to choose from English, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish.
- To get your copy, you need to visit the TechNet Evaluation center and select the version you want to download and the language.
- Once you do that, you will need a Windows Live account to login. Once you login you will be prompt to provide some details like your first and last name and little survey on what purpose you are downloading Windows 7. Make sure you mention IT professional related answers, like when it asks you the occupation, never mention Student as the free download is available for IT developers only.
- Then you’ll need to verify your email address you provided in the form and you will be redirected. If that does not work, go the TechNet evaluation page again and provide the same details, it will work fine.
The download size for the Windows 7 will be quite large around 6 GB and can take alot of time to download.
