After the two firmware releases i.e. 2.0.1 and 2.0.2, iPhone users complained about the dropped calls and weak signal strength while the typing lag was fixed in the firmware 2.0.2 but a new problem with the third party application popup as when the iPhone users tried launching the application, it would suddenly close and on 9th September, Apple released its Firmware 2.1 addressing to the 3rd party application problems, weak signal strengths, poor battery life and slow backups.

Alright people, yesterday was the long waited 9th September on which Apple promised all the new stuff. Yesterday, at the Apple’s Lets Rock Event, Apple rolled out the iTunes 8, iPod Nano 4G (all the rumored images proved to be correct), iPod Touch 2G. Awesome.
Lets begin with the latest iTunes 8. The latest media management and playback software by Apple, features the latest recommendation engine, new visualizers, the latest grid view, and new terms & conditions.
The recommendation engine works amazing when you select a song in iTunes and it displayes a list of recommendations related to the song you have selected, i really loved the feature.
When you use this feature, you have to agree to the terms & conditions and then it will gather the songs information to your iTunes library. All the processing time depends on the song library you have on your computer and the computer you are using. Then, it will send the information to Apple and will build you a profile based on the likes and dislikes, which will the enable you to use the amazing recommendation feature in the sidebar of your iTunes.

Palringo is the new iPhone instant messenger on the block. It enables vocal instant messaging, picrute messaging, and the trusty text-based messaging over your iPhone 3G. This free application does not comes with any limits or messaging or restrictions.
The best part about Palringo is that it offers all the major instant messengers including Apple’s iChat, AOL’s AIM, Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger, Gadu Gadu (which I haven’t heard about), ICQ, Jabber (yes, this is new too) and Windows Live Messenger.

Lately my 30gb iPod was acting a bit weird, freezing from time to time until i fixed it. I know alot of people out there must be facing this problem so i thought of sharing my solutions with you guys…
If your iPod has freezed for the first time or happens quite a few times then the easiest way to fix it is to first put off the hold from your iPod and then hold the Menu and the action button together for around 10 seconds until the screen flickers to black for a while and then the apple logo appears. If you are using the older version of iPod, you can try holding the menu and play button to reset your iPod.
This reset technique usually helps most of the time whenever you find any trouble with your iPod.

Wow, you too must be thinking of how quick Apple is on releasing Firmwares. It is hardly been a week since iPhone firmware 2.0.1 came out claiming the “bug fixes” and later 2 days back Apple rolled out its 2.0.2 version. Well now… Apple has planned yet another firmware to be out soon. It was revealed by an Apple insider piece which reveals that another upgrade will be coming in September.
