Make your Dead CDs live again!

Well, i found out this really really funny and unbelievable technique to recover your Dead(Unreadable) CDs. Most of you guys would not stop laughing after reading this.

Well the technique is to “boil” your CDs, to make them live again! :D do you believe it? I didn’t believed this too until i tried it on one of my CD and it really work :D , now believe that! :D

This also applies to DVD’s too, most of the time water molecule get trapped in the plastic covering which is meant to protect to the readable surface and sometimes it freezes to form a layer and those CD’s become unreadable and the only way to make them work is to boil them…

Now keep in mind that you are not to make a soup of CD! you just need enough water to cover the disk and place the water ball (WITHOUT THE DISK) into the microwave for 60 seconds. AND if you put you put a disk in the microwave, you will see a free fireworks display with over cooked disk! so DONT!

Increase Laptop Battery Life!

Better, lighter and faster laptops are coming into the market everyday, not everyday but still =P. Although batteries are progressing but still they still give laptop users a pain in the neck. There are many laptops and notebooks which comes equipped with helping users to increase battery life but the very latest windows like Vista has no such kind of better battery management so it is up to the user now how he manages his battery life.

Here are some tips on how to increase your laptop battery life.

De fragmenting your hard disk on regular basis really helps you a lot, now your processor wont use up more battery searching the whole hard disk for a file when it will be available at more reachable place. I know that defragmenting a hard disk takes a lot of time; you can either put your laptop to direct power or decrease the brightness of the screen. Also many laptops comes with a screen black out feature, so that can also be handy in defrag your hard disk.

Open your task manager (by ctrl + alt + del) and you would find many unnecessary programs running in background. All those useless background and foreground (useless programs running on taskbar) use up most of your battery, try closing all of them so the battery consumption would be limited.

Silverstone’s USB Powered Audio Amplifier!

Still cant believe the title? Can’t believe you can get awesome audio quality, which surpasses even dedicated amplifiers ten times as expensive? Yes its true! Silverstone launched its USB powered Audio Amplifier.

You must be wondering what is the connection between Silverstone, PSU producer (integrator) and Audio Amplifier, oh well who really cares if they have produced a marvel =d.

This Amplifier consists of a small board, which fits inside your PC and is being fueled by a 4-pin floppy disk power adapter from the main board. The sound is being transmitted directly to the USB headers of the board so there is no digital to analog conversion until the signal reaches the amplifier. It is rated 35W of output power per channel =o. SNR is rated at 105dB directly from the amplifier, which is pretty awesome compared to other more expensive amplifiers. However on their release Silverstone did not gave any additional information regarding THD, Noise and Intermodulation. Silverstone has announced that MSRP for this card comes with a price tag of $50, which I think is pretty reasonable.

Gravity Blue would rate this awesome USB powered Audio Amplified 9/10!

USB Flash Disk has become a part of our daily data traveling. You can easily use them anywhere and the best thing is that it is easy to handle. There Flash drives comes in a small toy-like shape, very light and not as heavy and fragile like the internal big hard disks.

These are available from 128 MB to 64 GB of size. As the sizes are constantly increasing most of us buy the new Flash Drives and sale the old ones. But one thing that everyone should remember is that, be sure to clean the content of your old Flash drive before you sell it to a complete stranger who discloses your personal data and other stuff…

This article too is guide you how to clean your flash drive before you sell it in the market and for this I would like to recommend you “Clean USB”. This software is a product of Cryptomax and comes with a price tag of $14.95 but don’t worry you don’t need to pay for its 30-days use with all the features fully functioning however, this downloadable free edition does not support all the USB drives and to get the full support you need to pay the price but it gives you room for testing the program.

The best part I love about this software is that it is really easy to handle as it guides you from the beginning to the end of the operation. You just need to click ‘Next’ and wait for the operation to be completed.

How to Remove Yellow Color from Form Field

Sorry guys, i wasn’t able to make a post yesterday cause i wasn’t able to find any thing interesting for you guys, so today i will be posting three really interesting articles. Here goes the first one.

You must have noticed a yellow color filled in some sign up form fields (in both IE and Firefox), like this one:

The same yellow color comes on my site while sign up for commenting and stuff and I have been thinking that there is a problem in my site. Well, for all those of you thinking that the problem is in your site, lemme tell you, it is not.

I tried editing my CSS files but it that yellow color from the form fields didn’t go away, then at last i found out what was causing this problem and it was Google toolbar. Interesting, eh… Well most of us install Google toolbar and never checks the options and settings, which influence the way we browse.

Now to remove that yellow color form field, you need to click on “Settings” on the extreme right side of the Google toolbar and then from the drop down list select “Options”. Then from large range of features, locate Autofill and click on “Autofill Settings”. Then in the settings you will see Highlight options, uncheck the box “Highlight fields on webpage that Autofill can update in Yellow” and then press OK. Refresh your webpage and the yellow form field will be gone

Happy Surfing =)
