Currently Google accounts password can be recovered by using the secondary email address or security question but if you fail to remember both of them, then you’ve lost your Google account…

google-logoGoogle reader has been around for a very long time now, getting you all the updates from different blogs or sites you have subscribed. I have almost 100 subscribed blogs which i love to follow, Google Reader combines all the updates from the blogs to one place. All you need is a Google account, if you have a Gmail Account, that will work fine. You can subscribe to my blog’s feed as well, click the RSS feed url and select subscribe with Google Reader and you will be redirected. It comes really easy following the blogs.

windows7logoWindows 7 is the latest OS being expected from Microsoft which is ready for its official release on 22 October 2009, which was announced earlier by senior vice president for Microsoft’s Windows business, Bill Veghte and said that, Windows 7 will be available on the new PCs as well as the on the store shelves.

To get you geared up for its official release, i found this really cool freeware which comes really handy for the Gmail users. This simple application displays your unread emails count, including pop up messages preview, right on your Windows 7 taskbar.

Earlier I wrote a post 5 Awesome Gmail Features to try out, and today I found these 5 cool features of Gmail Labs. Gmail has always been my favorite web-based email service and it keeps getting better with these awesome features they come up with for better user experience.

Gmail has been my favorite Emaling service and today i found out these awesome feature to do with Gmail. These are really simple but are very useful.

1. Play Music on Gmail

This was something new to me. I had never noticed the Gmail player if you recieve an mp3 file. Click the play button, and the song or the mp3 file will play through the flash player without downloading it. Continue reading »

One thing I discovered was to have a secure connection when I use Gmail so that the data transferred e.g. my passwords or session details to the Gmail servers are not being used by someone.

This usually happens when you use Gmail over an open network like on any public network, anyone can temper with your data that was shared between you PC and the Gmail data center as the network is not secure and is open to everyone. This usually results in your email accounts getting into wrong hands and can gain access to your sensitive data, maybe your bank statements or confidential login details.

To protect your account from being used by someone, ill be telling you guys on enabling secure internet connection over Gmail. This would really help those people who access internet from public places.

Earlier i wrote a tutorial on using your Gmail inbox as your Gmail Drive, and today i found this really awesome freeware to easily backup your files to Gmail, in other words, send to gmail.

A simple right click on the files and selecting Backup to Email will send the selected file to your Gmail inbox, storing it as an email. Large files can be slit and zipped to make them smaller in size. You can also schedule the backup so you can avoid right clicking to bakup a file to Gmail.
